Online Options
The following online options are available to use towards CEU, USF graduate credit, or WSD 180th Day hours. Participants must submit the certificate showing that they have completed the required hours and have passed any required assessments. If you plan to utililize any of these options, please register using the Academy link.
ViewSonic Training Center: myViewBoard Graduate Badge (6 hours)
The ViewSonic Teacher Certification Program will help you learn myViewBoard™ basics. You will watch videos, complete tasks, and pass a final quiz of the myViewBoard Graduate program. Each Level has videos, documentation and challenges that you need to complete. The goal of the videos is to model and show you how to use a tool, while the challenges give you an opportunity to practice. Note that you must complete Level 1 before you can move on to Level 2, and Level 2 before Level 3.
After you complete a Level by passing the certification test, you will be emailed a certificate and a badge along with a code that allows you access ot the next level test. You need to complete all sections, pass the Certification Test, and email the proof of completion to receive credit for 6 hours.

Apple Teacher (8 hours)
Apple Teacher is a free, self-paced professional learning program designed to help participants master key features and apps of the iPad and Mac that directly apply to activities with students. Participants will use guided tutorials to explore features and apps on the iPad and/or MacBook, then will test the skills learned to earn 6 badges to be recognized as an Apple Teacher. Begin wth foundational skills, then earn badges for Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, and Garageband.

Google Certified Educator, Level 1 or Level 2 (8 hours)
Google provides a self-paced course to guide you through the information you need to take the Google Level One certification test. This format is great for staff who have existing Google skills and have a curiosity and drive to explore new resources. There is a $10 fee to take the certification test. Participants must pass the test to receive credit for 8 hours.

BER: Response to Intervention: Practical strategies for intervening with students before they fall too far behind in MATH (Grades 1-5) (5 hours)
This seminar is Live Online event, held on Monday, August 1st. It is preferred that each participant log in individually from their own home or school, rather than streaming as a group, so that all have access to chat and response features. Participants can begin logging in at 9:00 am; seminar begins at 9:30 am. There will be an hour break for lunch. The seminar ends by 3:30 pm. Each participant will receive a digital copy of the resource handbook. Priority for slots will be given to Watertown School District employees for this paid training, but there may be room for others to participate.

Explicit Instruction: Effective and Efficient Teaching with Anita Archer Part II (7 hours)
Live Online through Zoom, June 8-9, 8:30 am - noon. Through SPDG grant funding, the admission will be free for Watertown staff. Slots are limited to 100 in the state, and closed May 20th. These 7 hours may be used towards Academy credit/CEU.
